About the College

The College of Dietitians of Ontario was founded in 1991 through the Dietetics Act, and became a regulatory body on December 31, 1993.

Its mandate under the Regulated Health Professions Act, and the Dietetics Act, is to regulate the profession of dietitians in Ontario in the interest of the public and public protection.

Presently, there are approximately 3000 Registered Dietitians in Ontario.
