  • Standards, Guidelines and Policies are developed to support dietetic practice, such as the Code of Ethics Interpretive Guide;

  • The CDO Web site and résumé newsletter inform members about topical practice issues and developments in laws that affect their practice;

  • Workshops and face-to-face meetings are planned annually where the Registrar & Executive Director, Practice Advisor & Policy Analyst and the Quality Assurance Manager are available to meet with Dietitians to discuss College programs and standards, ethical, legal, and professional practice issues. The College both organizes events and responds to invitations by local groups. Contact Us for more information;

Registration
The Registration Program sets the requirements for entry to practice and ensures that only qualified people become registered. Members can maintain their membership if they comply with College requirements and continue to demonstrate their competence, good character and conduct.

Quality Assurance and Continuing Competence
Through the Quality Assurance Program, all members are guided to reflect on their practice and competence and to develop and execute professional development plans. The Quality Assurance Program also conducts Practice Assessments to assess members' competence on a random basis. Member remediation is supported as needed.
